I have had the most wonderful time telling my friends and family the stories

How nice of you letting me get this news. I must tell you that I have visited your sites on the web; about your Klövsjö "Trip of Discovery" and the one about "Nordland Township"; how wonderful sites they are and so interesting to read. I have some old annual books called "Jämten" and in
some of them is the story about people from Klövsjö and the villages around settling down in Aitkin and other places. Some of them went to Iowa and I have got in contact with people there and in North Dakota - descendants
from the Macklin-family from Myssjö and Hackås - close to Klövsjö. Oh I hope that there will be grandchildren or greatgrandchildren to John Martinson still there. My grandfather died "quite young" in 1936 - so I
never knew him as I'm born in 1942. But I see that his father lived long...until 1939. He was old...out hunting-it does not sounds so smart at that age. (89y!)

Will we ever be able to post to the message boards without going through an editor ? In a time when time is all-important it seems ridiculous that this can't be resolved. Even my e-mail or web search will allow one to block messages with certain words.
With each year the use of the website seems to diminish a little more......can it be that's it's getting too garbled with the hassle of maneuvering through the maze of several other sites or having to go back each time; ie: the census or the postings ???

I'm currently a 6th grader at Rippleside in the town of Aitkin. I just wanted to say the
town really needed a site like this to tell about the town. As far as I know from my social studies
lessons it's all pretty current.

I just want to say CONGRATULATIONS on this beautiful web site. As someone who has lived in Aitkin County for 43 years I had no idea this existed. I got a hunch neither do many other people. I am thinking someone should write about the beautiful work that has been done on preserving the history of Aitkin Co. and its people.
I plan to contribute on behalf of my parents buried in Waukenabo Cemetery, Aitkin Co.

In 2003 I posted a query on the site searching for any information about Warren Potter and his first wife Matilda and their daughter-in-law Margaret B. Griffith who married Alfred Warren Potter. Kind people saw my post and forwarded me information about Matilda and where her family came from which helped tremendously. Then Just about 2 months ago someone else searched through old queries and saw mine. She now makes a monthly trip to the Aitkin Historical Society and sends articles and photos about Warren and his dealings in early Aitkin. I do not know this woman but the kindness of a stranger and your website has given me and my mother great happiness as we piece together her family tree. If only I lived closer and could see this town that is so deeply ingrained in my family! I appreciate your help in helping me discover 12 new generations of a line I thought was dead.
