Barbara,

Two of the names in the Shovel Lake Cemetery record are incorrect. I looked up all the records and, during July and August of 2001, talked to relatives of the people buried there. I have sent those records to the Aitkin Historical Society and the Minnesota Historical Society in St. Paul. I am now sending them the Macville Cemetery Records.

There are four Sharbonda people buried there. The name 'Sarabonda' should be spelled 'Sharbonda.' I checked the Aitkin Records.

I also checked with Ethel Sharbonda, 93 in Remer Minnesota. One was her child. She was one of the people who worked on having all the markers put in the Shovel Lake Cemetery, but she had never noticed that the name Sharbonda was misspelled. I just recently received a letter from her with more information.
